About nishino-jinja

Nishino Shrine, located in a quiet residential area of Nishi Ward, Sapporo, originated from a small shrine built by pioneers in 1885. The stone statues of parent and child dogs are revered as symbols of safe childbirth and fertility. The shrine’s amulet office offers around 300 varieties of colorful charms, enjoyable even just to browse. The groves, changing with the seasons, along with snowy scenes and autumn foliage, embrace worshippers and support the hearts of those seeking matchmaking and protection from misfortune.
