Hakone Shrine, located in Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture, has long been revered as a sacred site for mountain worship. It enshrines Hakone Okami—comprising Ninigi no Mikoto, Konohanasakuya-hime, and Hikohohodemi no Mikoto—and is believed to offer blessings for traffic safety, good fortune, and personal protection. The vermillion torii on the shore of Lake Ashi is a well-known scenic landmark.
