About samukawa-jinja
Samukawa Shrine is the Ichinomiya (highest-ranked shrine) of the former Sagami Province, located in Samukawa, Kanagawa Prefecture. It enshrines Samukawa-hiko no Mikoto and Samukawa-hime no Mikoto, and is especially known for Happo-yoke, or protection from misfortune from all directions. Many visit during life transitions or new beginnings, and the well-maintained grounds offer a calm and spiritually refreshing experience.
