About kandamyojin
Kanda Myojin is a shrine in Chiyoda, Tokyo with over 1300 years of history, enshrining Onamuchi no Mikoto (matchmaking, business prosperity), Sukunahikona no Mikoto (medicine, wisdom, health), and Taira no Masakado no Mikoto (victory in competitions, protection from misfortune). It is particularly famous for the "Kanda Festival," one of Edo's three great festivals, where the spectacular sight of portable shrines parading through the city center is magnificent. In recent years, it has also gained attention as a "modern guardian deity" strongly supported by IT companies and creators. The gorgeous vermillion shrine buildings are also worth seeing, making it a recommended shrine for Tokyo sightseeing.
