About shinagawa-jinja
Shinagawa Shrine is a historic shrine in Shinagawa, Tokyo, said to have been founded by Minamoto no Yoritomo. It is known for the “Ichiryu Manbai no Izumi” (One Grain Ten Thousand Times Spring), where visitors wash coins in hopes of financial prosperity. The main deity, Amenohirume no Mikoto, is believed to offer blessings for business success, matchmaking, and maritime safety.
