About uesugi-jinja
Uesugi Shrine is a popular destination for history enthusiasts, enshrining the Sengoku warlord Uesugi Kenshin. Revered for his virtue of “righteousness,” the shrine is believed to bring success in competitions, academics, and personal endeavors. The grounds are especially beautiful during spring cherry blossoms. The adjacent Keisho-den exhibits Kenshin's relics and armor.
